Hi, my name is Aja. I'm a band dork, I'm obsessed with pop music, and R&B is my religion. When I was little I thought Michael Jackson was superhuman. I'm a certified Tar Heel. I LOVE kids. I'm from North Carolina. Pork chops is probably my favorite food, second only to every baked good ever created. I can't sing or dance, but I do both with alarming frequency. My life is a karaoke bar.
I'm a wanna-be policy wonk with a grown-up government job, but all my thoughts are my own and I wanna keep it that way. I started this blog when I began my Peace Corps Service in Panama in 2013. Since I completed my service in 2015 I haven't blogged, but I'm firing it back up in the name of creativity. I need an outlet!
Aja-watch is a term coined by my sister circa 2010. I studied abroad a few times in college, so when I was first starting to travel my family would go on watch when I hop on planes to make sure I came out on the other end okay. Technology has evolved since then and I now have a smart phone and enough travel experience to know how to hit up when I reach my travel destination every time I go somewhere, but I'm still keepin' the blog name.
